Description
Twiggy is a artwork by René Álvarez Mäkelä in recognition of supermodel, actress and singer Leslie Lawson.
An androgynous-looking Golden Globe winner, Twiggy was named “the face of 1966” by the Daily Express and became an icon of the 1960s.
Although of English proletarian origin – her family was working class and lived in a suburb – Twiggy was the first major international model, as well as being the first supermodel.
Twiggy is made on a special support: aluminium dibond and with an internal frame.
